A change in priorities has meant we have not made much progress on the MX-5e this month and we are unlikely too for a few months now 🙁 Rob has had to spend most of his free time sorting out the planning issues, finding a builder, finalising kitchen and bathroom designs and getting quotes for our new extension.

It's been a big and time consuming project to define all of the work required, finalise all of the designs and get suppliers lined up to start work in early 2025.

We have bought some new, blue seatbelts for the MX-5e. The old ones were tan in colour, worn and very dirty. The ones we have bought feature shorter, seat mounted buckles to fit on the new heated leather seats.

The Driver Control Unit (DCU) is now reporting the MX-5e 12V battery voltage back at regular intervals and its working better than we expected, with excellent accuracy and repeatablility. Going forward, we will be reporting it to the nearest 0.1V only though.

The first bit of sunshine for ages, so we thought we would take Yoko and Emma's ND MX-5 out for a drive. Yoko's battery was too flat to turn the engine over, so we had to use some jump leads. This is why we are being so careful about monitoring battery state in the MX-5e.

A lovely drive up to Orford Quay. We are looking forward to the time when we can bring the MX-5e up here.
